For what seems like the first time in a long time, I am in a season of abundance. I have been blessed to not need or want for anything….currently. If you know me, or have been on this journey with me for a while, you know this was not always the case. As I reflect on how far I’ve come, I think it’s important to share the things I did to live the life I have now. Here are 4 ways to live a more abundant life.
1- Give. Life is a delicate balance of all things. Up & down. Hot & cold. Good & evil. Give & take. The more you give, the more you throw the scale off balance, so it is only natural that you will begin to receive. Giving doesn’t have to be material, it can be anything— time, energy, advice, a smile to a stranger, a compliment, an old book you think a friend may need. Start giving little pieces of yourself, and watch what comes back to you.
2- Express gratitude. I know it’s hard to be grateful when you don’t have much, but I’ve found that is the most important time to express gratitude. Be thankful for the things you DO have: a sound mind, a good heart, access to the internet to even be reading this, eyes that function fully, food to eat. Showing gratitude for small things is the road to receiving larger ones.
3- Think abundantly. So many of us operate from a place of lack. The work we do, the anxieties we have, the way we are afraid to give or share— we do these things because we fear that we do not or will not ever have enough. Once you start moving and shaking like you have enough, enough will start to show up in your life.
4- Be patient. The seed you plant today will not bear fruit tomorrow.
We all have the ability to tap into abundance, it simply starts with believing you are worthy. So, I challenge you to think and live abundantly this week and see what comes back to you.
Love,
Vic
