Hello Lovers,

Versatility is one idea I’m bringing into 2019. The other day I asked my girls how they go about buying new clothes. Seyi told me that she tries to imagine 3-4 outfits she would style the new piece in, if she couldn’t do that many, she won’t buy it. I love the idea of that— so I’m setting up my newest habit before the year ends. I styled these Ellesse track pants two different ways: one comfy, and one a little more refined.

LOOK 1

I love the the idea of a vintage 90’s track suit. It reminds me of the ones my parents used to wear. Even the noise the pants make when I walk is nostalgic. I paired it with a bucket hat and my favorite turtleneck. (You know I’m pressed to add leopard print to any and every outfit).

LOOK 2

With my refined look, I really wanted to tone down the athleticism of the pants. I paired it with a velvet blazer (because honestly, what’s more refined than that), and my favorite boots. This combination alone elevated the look instantly. I went from 90’s mom to 2018 fashion blogger in less than 5 minutes. And yes, there’s leopard print in this look too— I can’t help myself.
