04 Jan Beauty Edit: Best Masks For Winter Skincare
Hello Lovers,
I’m a skincare junkie— desperately trying to be a skincare guru by the end of this year. As part of my guru training… I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite masks for winter skincare. For colder months I try to stay away from those dry ass masks that leave your face feeling all tight and cracked. Instead, I opt for masks that will renew your skin and add moisture, instead of take it away.
Whish— Renewing Mud Mask
The secret ingredient in this mask is bakuchiol. This extract is a natural alternative to retinol. It works to turn over skin cells and also pushes collagen to the surface. The result? More glowy and youthful looking skin. It’s anti inflammatory and full of antioxidants making it perfect for dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin. You can grab a bottle of this Whish mask HERE.
Asarai— Earth Tones Face Mask
This is the only clay mask on this list, and it’s not your average clay mask. It’s made from Australian red clay which instantly revives skin and detoxes impurities. It also has Aloe Vera and Sunflower Seed Oil which help balance out the dryness of the clay. I usually leave it on for no more than 10 minutes and/or while steaming my face. You can snag this mask HERE.
Farmacy— Honey Potion
This Farmacy mask is a staple for me. I’ve been using it consistently for months now and I don’t see us parting ways anytime soon. It’s hydrating, soothing, and full of antioxidants. The super ingredient here is echinacea— an all healing herb that’s basically a magic plant. I take echinacea to boost my immune system, and never thought about it’s skincare benefits until I started using this mask. Pick up the Farmacy Honey Potion HERE.
Purpl Goat— unMASK (clarity)
Of all the masks on this list, this is my favorite. It’s been in my arsenal for a little over 3 years now, and the one thing (aside from tea tree oil) that clears up my breakouts. It’s very sticky (because of the molasses) but it also won’t dry on your face. No matter how long you leave it on, your skin won’t dry out. It always leaves my skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated— it even has that tingly feeling that makes me feel like it’s really really working. Pick up a jar HERE.
Eve Milan— The Lacial Masque
The only sheet mask on the list is from Eve Milan. Sheet masks are perfect for winter skin because they tend to be soothing and add moisture into dry skin. This one has all natural ingredients, brightens, and helps fight hyperpigmentation. The best part? It looks like lace. Your face looks just as pretty during the process as it does after. Grab yours HERE.
Happy masking this winter guys. And drop me a line on Instagram if you happen to try any of these out.
