01 Sep The Vic List: How to Take Flawless Photos

Being a full time blogger means I spend more time in front of a camera than sometimes I would like to. Having my picture taken has become second nature to me. Lately, seeing other people uncomfortably struggle in front of the lens has made this ever clear. Below I’ve outline a few tips to help you master the art of taking flawless pics. If you have other tips and tricks please leave them in the comment section (I don’t know it all and I love learning from y’all)

1- put on some confidence. Seriously. If you don’t feel like you look good, that will come across on camera. The best photos I’ve ever taken are the ones where I feel like I look good. Confidence is the master key to taking effortless and flawless photos.

2- Practice makes perfect. The more you’re in front of the camera the more comfortable you’ll get with it. You’ll start to know which angles and poses work for you, and which ones don’t.

3- find a great photographer. Find someone who you’re comfortable with, and someone who is knowledgeable about lighting, shadows, and knows how to execute your vision. Again, if you’re uncomfortable….it will show on camera.

4- Suck it in. Suck in your tummy, stand up straight. Your posture can make or break a photo.

5- Don’t be afraid to let loose. Being in front of the camera should be fun…laugh, be yourself, dance, trip, run, skip, jump. Some of my favorite photos are the outtakes…the ones I was never posing for.

6- Throw a filter on it. Sometimes the perfect photo might need a little help. I normally always like my pictures more when I add a filter and a little bit of grain.
